Deciding which LPC Supervisor is the right match for you is critically important. I have modeled myself after the many excellent supervisors and mentors in my career. I strive to do for my supervisees what my supervisors did for me. Some vitally important characteristics are the ability to inspire and encourage, the courage to confront, a strong ethical orientation, a wide clinical knowledge base, an open mind and the firm belief that we have as much to learn from our supervisees as they do from us...and a good sense of humour doesnt hurt either!
